    Under general direction of the VP of Plant Operations, executes the phases of equipment design and installation connected with engineering projects such as conceiving original ideas for solving specialized problems associated with the creation, modification, refinement and installation of equipment.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Conceives original ideas for solving problems associated with the creation, modification, refinement and installation of equipment. Interprets design requirements in terms of operation requirements; ease of repair and maintenance; and length of serviceable life.
    • Responsible for planning and implementing the sequence of events for the logical execution of equipment design and installation.
    • Develops project budget and schedule. Responsible to track actual costs and schedules against plan.
    • Executes machine design calculations connected with projects and, where necessary, checks them against experimental data.
    • Creates final design drawings and bills of materials. Working toward the standardization of all aspects of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic design procedures and components.
    • Compiles performance specifications for equipment. Obtains competitive bids on purchased items and services. Evaluates bids and selects vendor.
    • Works with the Maintenance, Environmental, Electrical departments and contractors to construct, modify and install equipment assisting in working out any difficulties that may arise.
    • Provide work direction of contractors, engineering crew and maintenance team members.
    • Ability to manage and direct the engineering new construction crew in daily activities in both and effective and efficient manner.
    • Knowledge working with AutoCAD  Engineering degree required
    • Must have minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Based Environment
    • Engineering Degree Required
