    Entry Level/Will train                                   $17.00 per hour

     

    If you are a bright beginner with mechanical interest, skilled at working with your hands and want to learn the foundry business and build your career, this opportunity is for you!

     

    30 days until union benefits begin, pay increase to $19.00 after 120 days

    Responsibilities

    1. Receive parts/UPS shipments.
    2. Stock and control the issue of all inventory parts.
    3. Control the issue of direct charge parts coming into the stockroom.
    4. Order parts to maintain the proper level of inventory.
    5. Calibrate and issue out Air Monitors for Confined Spaces.
    6. Weekly inventory of oils, lubes and fuels (Including natural gas.)
    7. Assemble hydraulic hoses as needed.
    8. Perform and follow up on departmental cycle counts of parts.
    9. Responsible for gate 2.
    10. Responsible for answering the phone on off shifts.
    11. Transportation of Team Members for first aid. Dispensation of minor first aid.
    12. Store and control Universal Waste.
    13. Call out and control the use of rented equipment.
    14. Call out the garbage dumpsters.
    15. Puncture Aerosol Cans.
    16. Issue and control the use of small tools. Send out for repairs as necessary.
    17. Tracking the in-house production of parts.
    18. Send out UPS/air freight as required.
    19. Fire extinguisher preventative maintenance.

    Qualifications

    1.  
    2.  Must wear PPE, long sleeves, metatarsal boots.
    3. Basic knowledge of and familiarity with mechanical supplies, parts, hand tools and power tools.
    4. Ability to communicate in English.
    5. Ability to use the computer.
    6. Proven track record of excellent attendance and dependability. 
    7. Proven ability to learn and to work in an efficient and effective manner.
