    Entry Level/Will train                                   $17.00 per hour

    30 days until union benefits begin, pay increase to $19.00 after 120 days

    Responsibilities

    GENERAL FUNCTION

    The operator will run the Core Machine.

    DUTIES

    1. Work with two core machines.
    2. File all cores flashing at parting lines and at blow end of cores. This prevents a scrapped casting.
    3. Label all core baskets at your machine.
    4. Fill out Corbox information sheet every day.
    5. Pack cores together tightly to prevent breakage and line the layes with cardboard.

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

      1. Must wear proper PPE such as, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, and boots.
      2. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day.
      3. Ability to work in extreme temperatures hot/cold.
      4. Ability to learn to operate the Core Machines.
      5. Strong communication skills.
      6. Technical aptitude.
      7. Ability to do multiple jobs and flexibility to do multiple jobs.
      8. Ability to achieve production and quality goals.  
      9. Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
      10. Demonstrated ability to work hard intelligently.
      11. Demonstrated ability to follow directions as well as to make appropriate decisions.
      12. Proven ability to work independently.
      13. Ability to speak and read English and work well with the team.
      14. Proven track record of excellent attendance, dependability and flexibility.
      15. Proven ability to learn and to work aggressively in an efficient and effective manner.
      16. Must be able to follow instruction from supervisor.
    • Considerable physical efforts required bending over core baskets to stock cores, working with average or heavy weight cores.

     

      1. Must concentrate mental and visual attention closely to determine if cores are defective
      2. Careless performance of duties could cause loss time accidents
      3. Continuous and intensive exposure to several disagreeable elements
    • Probable damage to power equipment due to failure in checking for proper operating condition.
