    Entry Level/Will train                                   $17.00 per hour

    30 days until union benefits begin, pay increase to $19.00 after 120 days

    Responsibilities

    1. Be sure both pumps up on mezzanine are working. Push “stop” button on spray mixer. Turn handle to “Pump B.” Close ball valves and open gate valve so water can be pumped through lines. Add water to boot black tank and turn on pump. Pump water through lines to flush them out. Watch return to boot spray tank and when water is clear, close gate valve. Use a hose to rinse spray nozzles and areas around boots. Manually push boot spray at each machine to make sure lines are clear. Turn pump off.
    2. Pick up broken pipe from under and around pipe machines and drop in scrap boxes to be recycled.
    3. Pick up loose wire and welding rod and dispose of in proper container.
    4. With computer in manual mode, keep boots connected. Move ladle in and raise it. Clean iron and slag from machine working parts using an air operated chipping gun. Care should be taken to ensure that parts of machine are not damaged in any way.
    5. Move ladle back and clean iron out from under boots. Use a chain hoist if pieces are too large. Remove molds and clean inside cabinet nightly if needed.
    6. Dump scrap boxes in designated Cupola area; bring boxes back and place at pipe machine.
    7. Wash front splash shields, core setters, slurry sprays and all areas where slurry has been sprayed.
    8. Unplug drain lines by removing grating from trenches and rinsing with water until trenches and drains are clean. Replace grating.
    9. Drains should be cleaned as follows:
      1. P-5 and P-6 weekly
      2. P-4 nightly
      3. P-2 and P-3 weekly
    10. Line floor under pouring launders with fresh sand to absorb molten iron from a run-out or spillage. Discard old sand out at the waste sand storage area.

    Qualifications

    1. Must wear proper PPE such as, goggles, ear plugs, hard hat, face shield, and meta tarsal boots.
    2. Ability to do multiple jobs and flexibility to do multiple jobs.
    3. Technical aptitude.
    4. Strong communication skills.
    5. Ability to achieve production and quality goals.
    6. Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
    7. Demonstrated ability to work hard intelligently.
    8. Demonstrated ability to follow directions as well as to make appropriate decisions.
    9. Proven ability to work independently.
    10. Proven track record of excellent attendance, dependability and flexibility.
    11. Proven ability to learn and to work aggressively in an efficient and effective manner.
    12. Ability to speak and read English.
    13. Must be able to follow instruction from supervisor.
    14. Must be able to work from instructions given by supervisor or lead person.
    15. Must be able to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standard or recognized methods are available.
    16. Careless operation of machine may cause lost-time accidents to others, such as crushed fingers, hands, eye injuries from flying particles.
    17. Responsible for own work only.
